The current structure for The Antlers is the third since the hotel was first constructed in 1883 by General William Jackson Palmer, founder of Colorado Springs. Its earliest iteration included unique conveniences for the time, such as a hydraulic elevator, central steam heat, and gas lights. An 1898 fire led to the hotel being rebuilt in 1901. In 1964, the ownership group decided to rebuild again to set the hotel on its next path, and the 1967-reopened property is the one visitors enjoy today. The hotel now sits on the original location in the center of downtown Colorado Springs, making it an attractive venue for events, conferences, and leisure travel.

The hotel provides admirable views of historic Pike’s Peak. The surrounding, easily walkable blocks, feature a great many restaurants, shops, and points of culture.

Founded in 1871, Colorado Springs is the State of Colorado’s second-largest city. It sits 6,035 feet above sea level at the eastern foot of the Rocky Mountains near glacier-carved Pikes Peak, a landmark in Pike National Forest. Colorado Springs is a true mountain city offering endless outdoor attractions, a vibrant art scene, museums, urban parks, hip cafes and historic bars.
